Wireframing a Portfolio
Wireframing + Information Architecture
About this project:
This project showcases the process of creating a personal and professional portfolio as a college graduate. As a designer, creating a brand for myself is a very important especially as a contractor continuously looking for new work. Now that I have changed my last name, I have rebranded myself with the site you now see today. This project showcases my wireframing & prototyping skills. It is a snapshot of the site map I created that went into building the previous version of my portfolio website.
My Role:
During my college education, I used Wordpress to start laying out my portfolio site and bought a domain name. I taught myself to slightly tweak the code to create a horizontal scrolling capability to give my visitors a more interactive experience. I have since been updating my own projects using CODA software and teaching myself HTML coding along the way. Sitemaps and concepts were built using Axure RP and Adobe Illustrator.
Design Process:
I began by taking a look at all the content I wanted to show on my site. Selecting various projects from college and throughout my career as a post grad. I also looked at other portfolio websites as inspiration.
